**Role Overview**:
The Global Account Executive is responsible for the end-to-end success of identifying and nurturing leads through to the final deal close and ongoing customer advocacy and success. Sales are structured to increase revenue for the company in a sustainable manner.
Working with international companies, you will be the direct contact to strategically position and close deals for information management software typically used in the oil and gas and energy industry by understanding customers’ pain points and proposing solutions to fit client needs and desired business outcomes.
You will develop, execute, and close your own pipeline of sales opportunities, driving collaborative sales strategies and activities through an extended sales team. You will build and hold the customer relationship and act as their advocate and orchestrator to ensure that Ascertra’s sales, customer success, and technology organizations respond with the right solutions and service towards the customers’ initiatives and desired business outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Engage the market directly using consultative value and solution-selling strategies in alignment with Ascertra’s CEP (Customer Engagement Process) to qualify opportunities and achieve software sales growth with existing clients and new prospects.
- Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close software and related professional services deals
- Maintain customer and prospective customer information in the CRM system; supporting timely and accurate deal management, opportunity/account management, and forecasting
- Act as an advocate and trusted advisor for the customer, relaying important product needs and competitive intelligence back into the business
- Work as the primary sales orchestrator and deal/account owner, in a multi-function extended sales team, leading and participating in strategic opportunity and account planning, pipeline and deal management, prospecting, and marketing activities
**Qualifications**:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the industry our customers work in
- Demonstrated success in enterprise software, technology, or business services sales
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer centric selling techniques and principles
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills, representing the company’s long-term business requirements
- Knowledge of and experience conducting negotiations with international partners
- Clear, articulate English language skills in reading, writing and speaking
- Open and considerate communicator who is seen as a thought leader
- You take multiple approaches to tackle tough challenges - you can see beyond your own perspective/ideas as the best solution or approach in the room
