**_Fire Door Controls_** is a specialist supplier and installer of alarm activated fire door closers, providing service nationwide to the Residential Care, Social Housing and Retirement Living sectors. The company offers professionaland independent advice on the wide range of products available in the market along with our own unique and exclusive solutions.
Working directly with the company owner, we require an experienced office-based salesperson to manage our growing customer base, deal with new enquiries and help generate new business. There is also an element of general office management and administrationso whilst day-to-day activities can be varied the role is primarily sales focused.
**Key skills and requirements**:
- **Current relevant sales experience is essential**
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Composed and confident telephone manner
- Confident, dynamic and self-motivated individual with a professional manner and strong work ethic
- A 'can-do’ attitude and the ability to work independently and on your own initiative as soon as possible
- Ability to adopt our consultative selling approach with the aim of 'helping our customers to buy’
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook with experience of working in database or CRM programs
- Interest or experience in our core markets an advantage but not necessary
Our products are not particularly technical but ongoing training is provided including some initial customer site visits.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Dealing with inbound enquiries and orders
- Managing and developing relations with existing customers and prospects
- Generating new business with pro-active outbound calling
- Managing customer order spreadsheet
- Preparation of quotes and invoices
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Liaising with sub-contractors
- General office management
