**About the role:**

This is a fantastic opportunity in a new role which will play a key part in developing and leading the strategic and tactical “People” agenda across the UK, European & Luxury Shipboard business.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will provide effective business partnering to Directors, Managers and their teams in driving and facilitating longer term objectives and short-term deliverables. The role will support the organisations development and ensurethe right capabilities and employee experiences are in place.

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is equally happy working strategically and delivering change, as they are rolling up their sleeves and getting into the daily detail of Retail HR.

**What you’ll be doing:**
- **People Plans**:

- Help identify, develp and implement People plans and projects that directly support the HR and business strategies, goals, challenges, and opportunities over the short and long term
- Understand the drivers behind employee engagement, developing and delivering initiatives, communications and forums which contribute to employee development, engagement, and retention
- **Employee Engagement and Experience**:

- Be the champin of employee experience ensuring each stage of the employee lifecycle is effectively delivered and provides the best possible experience to Shipboard employees
- **Employee Relations**:

- Manage cmplex cases and provide advice, support and coaching to Managers and Crew across all ER issues, including medical capability, performance, compliance, grievances, and disciplinary matters
- On a day-t-day basis improve the skills of managers and develop activities that reduce ER issues within the business and ensure all maritime employment laws are adhered to
- **Talent Identification, Development and Succession Planning**:

- Wrk with the COE’s, Area and Store Managers to identify and develop future talent. Ensure succession plans are in place and in particular that future managers and specialists are developed, career paths supported, and succession/capability risks are mitigated
- **Performance Management**:

- Develp and champion a high-performance culture across the business.Cach, influence, up-skill and encourage Senior leaders to provide clear direction, and line managers to provide continuous goal clarity, feedback, and development for their teams
- Be the champin for all appraisal/performance management frameworks and L&D activity ensuring high levels of completion and effectiveness are in place
- **Change and Projects**:

- Act as a change agent thrugh identifying, developing, and carrying out change initiatives and projects where required. Ensure change drives a positive impact and improves organisational effectiveness
- **Business Partnering**:

- Embedded in bth the HR and Operational teams you will be a trusted advisor. As the link between both parts of the business you will provide constructive challenge and will ensure a high quality, pragmatic and effective business partnering relatinship isin place

**About you**:

- You will be an experienced HR Business Partner working strategically and tactically within a very fast-paced, commercially focused multi-site Retail environment.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge and experience in the key HR disciplines of Employee Relations, Performance Management, Management Development, Succession Planning, Engagement and Reward & Recognition
- Experienced in creating and implementing people plans that have successfully improved business performance and effectiveness
- A good influencer and coach. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proven experience in successfully managing projects or implementing change. Resilient and able to prioritise, problem solve and work across multiple initiatives at any given time
- Good presentational skills with the ability to convey concepts and information in an engaging and compelling manner using a variety of methods
- Able to use data, insights, and people metrics to provide proposals and influence decisions that solve business and HR challenges
- Level 5 CIPD qualified or similar accreditation
