**About the role**:
We're currently recruiting for an EAL Teaching Assistant to work at one of our client schools in Burnley. Due to the school having a high number of children with English as an Additional Language, the school requires an experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant who has had experience supporting children with English as an Additional Language in a primary school setting. The school is currently looking for an EAL teaching assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis whose first language is not English and requires somebody who can translate using both Urdu and English. Although this specific role is 1:1, there will be opportunities to support multiple children across the school, working across EYFS-KS2.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of EAL Teaching Assistant - Burnley you will:
- Has previously worked as a Teaching Assistant supporting those with EAL in a primary school setting.
- Hold at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum (covering EYFS-KS2).
- Have a passion for engaging children in a fun, exciting and engaging manner.
- Have a genuine interest to become part of a committed team.
- Must hold GCSE Maths and English Language at grade 4-9 (grade C or above) or equivalent.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Has previously worked as a Teaching Assistant supporting those with EAL in a primary school setting.
