Your new role As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 to reinforce learning.Assist with literacy, numeracy, phonics, and guided reading.Help manage pupil behaviour and promote engagement.Support pupils with SEND or EAL needs.Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.What you'll need to succeed Experience working with children in an educational setting (minimum 20 days in the last 2 years).Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Strongmunication and relationship-building skills.A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).What you'll get in return Free safeguarding and CPD training.Support from a dedicated education consultant.Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements.Access to the Hays Education app for timesheets, bookings, and training.
