My client are an established and growing logistics business, the business provides customers with high quality transport solutions from their sites in South Wales, Hampshire and Essex. The business has an excellent reputation especially among the FMCG marketfor bulk delivery services as well as storage and warehousing facilities.

The business has recently been acquired, they have ambitious plans to grow and undergoing process improvements across the business. This development has led to the requirement of a Financial Controller to develop the finance teams and reporting across thethree sites. The role will report to the Divisional Finance Director and will be responsible for the following:

- oversee the preparation of management accounts for all three divisions of the business.
- take responsibility for collating the group reporting packs.
- develop the growing finance team, managing day to day workloads and future development.
- manage invoice discounting facilities.
- oversee payroll activities.
- manage year-end reporting
- lead improvement projects automating and improving processes

The role requires someone technically strong who can manage all areas of management and financial reporting. People management would be very advantageous as you navigate a team through this period of improvement and development.
