**About the Opportunity**
With recent changes in UK procurement law, and a focus on Covid-19 recovery, our clients have increased their focus on social value, expecting us to clearly define how our projects and organisation contributes to society. In January 2021, the Government will be mandating a minimum of 10% weighting for social value questions across all public sector procurement.
This role, as Social Value Manager, will report into the Head of Social Value in our Decommissioning business, to enhance and promote our social value advisory, consulting and delivery proposition, with a focus of supporting social value delivery at contract level.

**Primary Role and Responsibilities**
To support the development and implementation of social impact activities in response to the identified social impact needs, in alignment with business strategy
- Support the integration of UK Government requirements and guidance on creation of Social Value.
- Support reporting of social impact plans within contracts
- Support business reporting in Social Value e.g. provision of monthly progress reports and dashboards
- Arrange and attend team meetings/conferences, supply chain meetings, engagement events as required, to take minutes, and ensure appropriate facilities are organised.
- Support development of social value initiatives at the contract tendering stage.
**Day to Day Responsibilities Include**
- Understand clients and operational key aims and objectives and action and deliver on these in the timescales required
- Where required, represent the company on local focus groups in association to education, employment and skills developments and opportunities.
- Attend external events to obtain details of best practice and assist with the implementation of new initiatives to improve business performance.
- Develop and maintain effective networks with all relevant contacts to ensure the Social Value and KPI’s are delivered in the most effective way.
- Monitor contract commitments to ensure these are completed.
- Support the completion of social value case studies, including appropriate metrics.
- Coordinate and author social value questions for multiple opportunities and clients, including articulating our capabilities, but also defining our contribution and setting achievable targets.
- Supervising the co-ordination and management of current evidence gathering processes
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Experience of working in a collaborative environment.
- Able to work with data (analysis and interpretations)
- Confidence in analysing and interpreting numerical data.
- Strong communication & influencing skills.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Experience of Social Impact/Social Value activities
- Understanding of the Social Value Act
- Knowledge current Government policy in this area
- Knowledge of social value principles
