**FOH Supervisor School**

**Function**: Operations
**Position**: FOH Supervisor
**Immediate Manager**: Deputy Catering Manager
**Additional Reporting Line to**: Catering Manager

Hours of work - **Monday to Friday 5.5 hrs a day, 9am-3pm includes 1/2 break unpaid = 27.5 Hours a week. 36.8 weeks Term time Only**

**1. Purpose of the Job**:
Assist in the day-to-day running of the Catering Department, focusing on the Main Dining Hall and Servery.

Deliver exceptional customer service to build valuable long-term relationships with colleagues, customers, and clients.

Ensure a premium standard of food service and retail offer.

Drive continuous improvement in operations.

Impact & Influence: Communicate to build relationships and interact appropriately with others.

Working with Others: Work effectively and professionally with others to achieve desired results.

**5. Main Assignments**:
Daily briefing for all Dining Room Staff.

Completion of daily pre-service checklists.

Recording temperatures for all meal services.

Act as the Allergen Champion.

Ensure cleaning duties are completed by the team as per the rota.

Train FOH staff weekly.

Report defects in equipment premises.

Supervise Food Service Assistants for all catering outlets.

Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, students, and staff.

Comply with Sodexo and legal processes and procedures for health and safety and food safety.

Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Participate in deep cleaning programs.

Report feedback to the management team.

Carry out reasonable tasks requested by management.

**6. Accountabilities**:
Maintaining accurate records.

Positive feedback from clients, customers, staff, and students.

Excellent food hygiene ratings from EHO and Safeguard.

Timely completion of services and cleaning to minimize wait times.

**7. Person Specification**:
Experience in an educational environment.

Enhanced DBS

Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.

Basic food hygiene and health and safety qualifications.

Great customer service skills.

Problem-solving ability.

Experience in team management.

Flexible approach to working hours.
