**Seafreight Pricing Operative**

**Location**: Burton upon Trent, Manchester or Glasgow

**Hours**: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 9:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday

**About the position**:
The key focus of this role is deliver support to UK Seafreight Product supporting Seafreight Senior Management with maintenance and distribution of cost pricing and efficient delivery of sales pricing to relevant stakeholders

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include**:

- Liaise with customers, other offices including overseas (internally and externally), agents, shipping lines and haulers.
- To be the first point of contact and to action all incoming calls from all internal/external customers.
- Respond to all internal/external customer enquiries promptly and professionally and escalate where necessary
- Provide support and cover for other departments during absence periods as and when required
- Liaise with stakeholders to formulate and provide Seafreight quotes in timely manner
- To provide and maintain and in depth understanding of the Seafreight product including Incoterms
- To demonstrate a high quality of excellent service
- To analyse cbm and w/m variances whilst demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
- To ensure you have knowledge of exchange rates and maintain your knowledge daily to ensure this is up to date.
- Any other reasonable tasks as designated by your immediate line manager.
- Work closely with Pricing and Procurement Manager to develop strategies for new/ existing customers
- Work closely with Trade teams to monitor trends on all trade lanes
- Work closely with external sales to close new business.
- Meet set monthly KPIs (including but not limited to: Number of quotes, Success rate, loss’ etc).

**About you**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding - Multi National company experience advantageous
- Incoterms Knowledge essential
- Excellent written, communication and Numerical skills.
- Team player
- Excellent Timekeeping
- Hard working, diligent, self-motivated
- Can work calmly under pressure
- Additional Language Advantageous

**Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.**
