Due to exponential growth, our client, a leading freight forwarder based in Burton are recruiting for an Ocean Freight Pricing Operative.

The main objective of this role will be to support the senior staff in obtaining and providing timely ocean freight quotes.

**Responsibilities**:

- To be the first point of contact with customers and provide them with quotes
- To liaise externally and internally with the relevant parties to ensure quotes are providing in an accurate and timely fashion
- To obtain and maintain knowledge of exchanges rates to ensure accurate quotes
- Dealing with shipping lines, customers and other offices
- To provide cover for other departments when required

**Requirements**:

- Some form of freight experience or qualification
- Competent in IT skills
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of Incoterms

There is the opportunity to work 2 days a week from home. Hours of work - Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
