Assistant Management Accountant/book Keeper

You will have a background in ideally a practice and be used to working with multiple clients

You will be assigned a range of clients that require bookkeeping, VAT, CIS and management accounts services.

You will be responsible for ensuring client deadlines are met, and review points on the jobs completed are cleared. Management accounts may be required on a monthly or quarterly basis, and many of our clients require a 'year end’ file to be prepared in advanceof the preparation of the statutory accounts.

You will be supported by more senior members of the team when preparing management accounts.
- Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping.
- Uploading transactions and allocating within the accounting system (SAGE, Quickbooks and Xero).
- Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments.
- Balancing accounts.
- Reconciling bank accounts and other ledger accounts.
- Maintaining bank feeds.
- Using auto entry/receipt bank in respect of processing transactions
- Completing month end adjustments such as Accruals, Prepayments and posting depreciation.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers, and ensuring additions and disposals are correctly recorded and any profit or loss on disposal is recognised correctly.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Preparing CIS returns.
- Preparing management accounts, and providing appropriate commentary on significant variances.
- Preparing a year end file with supporting documentation for the preparation of statutory year-end accounts.
