The Kitchen Assistant is part of the caring team and as such works with other staff to care with the Service Users in the Home.

**Main duties**:
1. Promote the company ethos at all times

2. Assist the Chef/Cook in the kitchen and dining room, helping to prepare breakfast, lunch and evening meal and adhering to any special diet requirements

3. Ensure correct standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with hygiene regulations

4. Reset the dining room tables after meals, ensuring the tables are fully reset.

5. Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, washing up cutlery and crockery after meals and ensure the dishwasher is clean and filled appropriately.

6. Ensure the correct and economical use of materials and equipment and to ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum.

7. Safely store deliveries of food and to replenish stocks in rotational order, where required

8. Report any issues or faults, breakages or shortage of equipment supplies that may occur to the Chef Manager

9. Ensure compliance with the Infection Control Policy at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
