The role of the Relief Care Assistant is to assist the Cook and Assistant Cook in the preparation of nutritional meals to meet the needs of the residents, within the Christian ethos of Trinity House.ResponsibilitiesTo assist the Cook/Assistant Cook with food preparation.To take rubbish to bins.To clean and tidy work areasTo clean and tidy kitchen areas including shelves, drawers and cookerTo clean floors, tiles and appliancesTo wash dishes.To assist with the preparation of snacks (eg. tea, sandwiches, suppers) etcTo clean and tidy dining room. Setting up tables for meals and trays where appropriateTo arrange for the laundry of cloths, napkins and tea towels etcTo maintain records as requiredTo carry out any other reasonable duty as required by the management of the Home, which is necessary for the support and well-being of the residentsSkills and QualificationsEvidence and understanding of and respect for the needs of older peopleWilling to undertake appropriate training eg.
