Tristar Foods, owner of the iconic brands “**Byron**” and “**Mother Clucker**” are currently looking for a full time Health and Safety Advisor to support Health and Safety and Food Safety across the business. This is a hybrid role with regular travel required across the UK and to our London base.

Reporting into the Operations Director, you will support, enable, and ensure that restaurants deliver and manage the Health & Safety, Food hygiene and fire safety practices and procedures.

In this role you will:

- Lead investigations in cases of food poisoning, or illness/injury of staff and claims by managing the compliance system Alert65 across the estate
- Daily use of systems that enable input of food specs to ensure precise details around allergens, which assist in the creation of the allergen guide and matrix
- Creation/implementation of training programs to drive food safety execution
- Support the business in managing and improving standards throughout the business, ensuring it is safe, legal and compliant across all areas of Food Safety and Health and Safety
- Support, enable, and ensure that restaurants deliver and manage the Health & Safety, Food hygiene and fire safety practices and procedures
- Conduct proactive training, coaching and support visits
- Carry out restaurant audits and reactive investigations
- Work closely with the Operation and Restaurant Teams
- Provide full support with opening new sites, auditing and training teams ensuring the business is operationally safe
- Complete internal audits in line with internal program
- Follow up audits with reactive visits, coaching and supporting
- Communicate food safety & quality expectations & requirements with business leaders & all cross-functional support teams at all levels of the organisation
- Be solution focused with an ability to be creative in helping colleagues to achieve business objectives whilst ensuring that all food safety & compliance criteria are fully met
- Possess a strong ability to risk assess operational processes to determine required food safety & compliance interventions, auditing mechanisms & regulatory impact business modules
- Have an oversight of operational requirements that define risk-based food safety standards, including pest control, auditing, maintenance, chemical, cleaning and provider requirements

You will ideally have a formal food safety and or health and safety qualification. This may include:

- Level 4 Food Safety
- Level 4 Health and Safety
- Nebosh (general certificate or diploma)
- Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection
