**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Financial Record Management**: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- **Xero Management**: Utilise Xero for data entry, bank reconciliations, and generating financial reports.
- **Invoicing**: Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- **Accounts Payable & Receivable**: Manage supplier invoices, process payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- **Bank Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- **VAT & Tax Compliance**: Prepare and submit VAT returns and support tax filing in collaboration with the accountant.
- **Payroll Support**: Process payroll information, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with regulations.
- **Financial Reporting**: Generate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports as needed. Liaising with company accounts as and when necessary.
- **Auditing Support**: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper.
- Proficiency in Xero is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

**Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm**
**£28,000 - £30,000 DOE**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
