Mencap have an exciting opportunity to join their Policy and Public affairs team as a Policy Specialist.

This role is very focused on delivering policy change and empowering people both inside and outside of the organisation within your specialist field. You will work within a highly effective and dedicated policy and public affairs team as well as across the organisation as part of our agile approach to delivering on our organisational priorities. You will also have a key role in engaging with stakeholders as part of our Policy Shapers work to ensure that our work is informed by the real life experiences of people with a learning disability, families and professionals. We are looking for someone with experience of working on public policy issues and with knowledge of the issues affecting people with a learning disability. You will also be confident is speaking to a variety of people, with the ability to analyse complex information, negotiate and influence.
