**Fixed-term contract (12 months)**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading pharmaceutical and health companies as a Policy and Communications Specialist in its Corporate Affairs team.

You’ll be joining a worldwide network of communications and policy experts under the Global Public Policy and Communications organisation. Corporate Affairs leads and delivers our company's corporate and strategic communications including policy strategies for our government affairs programmes and franchise policy and communications teams, internal communications and - central to this role - its social media and online presence.

**Ideal skills & competencies required**:

- Designing and leading integrated corporate communication plans
- Digital communications skills - social media management and CRM experience an advantage
- Engaging copywriting and content creation skills for a range of formats and stakeholders
- The policy environment of the UK and particularly it’s healthcare system
- Media relations and management

Key competencies and behaviours to be successful in this role are:

- Good presentation and interpersonal skills

**Key tasks**:
There will be no such thing as a typical day in this role Common tasks could include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

- Monitoring and understanding the external environment to understand the opportunities and challenges for the business.
- Demonstrate social media acumen including content creation, audience segmentation and targeting, moderation and evaluation.
- Supporting the development and execution of communications programmes including input to strategy development, creation of campaigns and effective delivery of all elements of the campaign including narrative development; content development; assets creation.
- Working with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and within the therapy business units to support internal communications.
- Contributions to the broader Corporate Affairs team including involvement in key strategic and department initiatives.

**Job Dimensions**

This is a 12 month fixed term role

This role is predominantly head office based in our new WeWork office in Moorgate and full time, with occasional travel as required for stakeholder meetings.
