We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our small friendly team working in the Fylde and Wyre area. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and the ability to create a positive impact on the lives of those they care for. Including promoting independence and providing true person centred care.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assisting with meals, tailored to individual preferences.
- Medication Support.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Assisting with domestic duties.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and well-being.
- Collaborate with service users, family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, person-centred care.
We will need:
- Previous experience in care/support roles is preferred, but full training is provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with service users, families and team members.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with patience and understanding.
- Flexibility to work throughout Fylde & Wyre.
- Ability to work alternate weekends on a rota.
- A valid driving licence and use of a car on every shift is essential.
- This position is to cover 4-10pm shifts, and includes working alternate weekends
