Duration 12 months initial contract with extension
Hours per week: 50 hours per week
We are currently seeking a highly skilled procurement manager to join our team. As a procurement manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers, as well as managing the procurement team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a procurement manager, preferably in the energy from waste industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
- Familiarity with energy from waste technology and equipment
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and contractors
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Duties:
- Consultants procurement managers tasks and responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the procurement management activities in all purchase packages
- Support the respective Discipline Managers in all other purchase packages (Main Equipment packages, BOP mechanical, electrical etc.) in commercial and contractual matters as required.
- Preparing the procurement plan and coordinating the procurement activities within the project
- Preparing and updating the Procurement list
- Preparing project specific model documents and templates for procurement as well as taking over of procurement packages and acquiring Purchasers approvals for those
- Taking care of procurement tasks in co-operation with discipline managers and procurement engineers.
- Supporting Discipline managers and Delivery supervisors in delivery control and claim management
- Participation in commercial tender and contract negotiations
- Reviewing suppliers financial guarantees in co-operation with Customer
- Escalation of issues and concerns to Project manager
