Main Purpose of the Role:

To plan, organise and oversee fundraising activities and outreach efforts to support the charity's mission and ensure effective delivery of services.

Lenderhand is an Essex-based charity – helping underprivileged children and young adults by providing them with the support they need to thrive. By providing practical assistance, we are extremely proud to help offer life-changing experiences to children and young adults who would otherwise not have the opportunity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Applications / Grants

  • Building and managing relationships to generate relevant contacts to ensure the charity can provide aid and assistance to those that are in need
  • Assessing the applications, make selection of who would be eligible for a grant
  • Putting the suggestion to the trustees to ensure approval is gained (on a monthly basis)
  • Ensure that grants that are approved are completed in a timely manner

Marketing

  • Monitor and review website to ensure that is up to date and relevant
  • Adding new content regularly on website and via social media
  • Ensure that the Charity is known in the wider communities / other charities

Fundraising support

  • Oversee the efficient recording and reconciliation of all fundraising costs and income
  • Assist with fundraising events
  • Research new income sources for Lenderhand and support funding applications

Person Specification/Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, events and deadlines
  • Can work independently and takes initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Creative thinker who can trouble shoot challenges
  • Strong IT skills
  • Knowledge of social media and online fundraising tools
  • Event planning experience
  • Understanding of fundraising strategies and finances
  • Community engagement and networking
  • A genuine interest in and commitment to the charity
