ASD Support Assistant | Inclusive Primary School in Newham | September 2025 Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is seeking a compassionate ASD Support Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a positive learning environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ASD Support Assistant to make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to provide tailored support that helps students thrive both academically and socially.

Location: Newham
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £444 - £513 per week (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

ASD Support Assistant | Role Overview:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD

  • Work alongside teaching staff and the SENDCo to deliver targeted interventions

  • Encourage social interaction, communication skills, and emotional development

  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal ASD Support Assistant:
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive in meeting students' individual needs

  • Previous experience with ASD is desirable but not essential

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
