ENB are working with a Northampton based housing provider who has a newly created position of Commercial Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis to support with the repairs activities within their organisation.

As they continue to expand, grow and develop existing services for their residents, this is a great opportunity for you to join a business who puts their customers first and can support by shaping this department for continued delivery and success.

Working closely with the Repairs, Procurement and Finance teams, you will be responsible for managing all commercial, contractual and financial activities for their repairs business.

You will need to enjoy being hands on, controlling budgets and cost, forecasting monthly, quarterly and annually and oversee the compliance within their supply supply chain.

Key highlights within the role

  • Support the repairs team with all commercial and contractual matters.
  • Ensuring subcontractors are managed in accordance with the contract, commercial arrangements, schedule of rates.
  • Keep a deep understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the settlement of final accounts and outstanding retention monies at the end of the Defects Liability Period where applicable.
  • Produce monthly cost value reconciliation reports on individual projects.
  • Analyse cost per job, labour productivity, and material usage to identify variances and drive efficiencies.

What do you need to be considered for this role?

  • Housing / Repairs Sector experience within Local Authority, ALMO, Housing Association or similar
  • A solid understanding of and health and safety regulations and experience of working on notifiable projects.
  • Proven Commercial Manager experience and a successful track record in a similar organisation.
