The Club Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the leisure club, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and member satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, coordinating activities, addressing member concerns, and ensuring the club's facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the leisure club, including reception, fitness areas, and other facilities.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and welcoming for all members and guests.
  • Monitor and enforce club policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise & train staff
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, addressing any performance issues or training needs.
  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews.
  • Complete return to works or meetings as required
  • Member Services:
  • Address and resolve member enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Promote a positive and engaging environment for members, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Organise and oversee member events and activities, ensuring they meet members' needs and interests.
  • Provide membership services and tours of the club to potential members
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure all equipment and areas are functioning properly and maintained.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for repairs and improvements.

Administrative Duties:

  • Handle cash and financial transactions, including membership payments, and manage budgets as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to staff, members, and facility operations.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures and first aid protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leisure or hospitality environment, with a background in management or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to providing a high-quality experience for members and guests.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a leisure or fitness environment.
  • Basic financial and administrative skills, including experience with cash handling and reporting.
  • Relevant qualifications in leisure management, sports science, or a related field are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
