We are looking for a skilled
Service Transition Manager
to join our IS&T team. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver Service Design and Transition activities across Sodexo, working closely with project, technical and operational teams to ensure smooth, well‑governed transitions of end‑user services. You'll promote best‑practice ITSM processes, support consistent standards, and help strengthen our service quality as new solutions move into live operation.

Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating the service design & transition documentation and artefacts
- Document the end to end Transition service process, reflecting the requirements and how they will be met
- Ensuring Acceptance into Service is efficient and non-problematic
- Represent Sodexo UKIS&T and provide expert input and support to various governance boards which are attended by senior stakeholders including Directors
- You will be involved in a variety of transition activities across programmes/projects and within the directorate to understand the varying levels of complexities in each area to deliver a fully supported service
- Ensure services being transitioned meet the agreed criteria's before accepting services into live working with operational leads, Heads of Service to ensure agreement for acceptance in to Live.
- Prioritise and deconflict transition activities for Sodexo using organisational priorities
- Identify gaps in support structure and creatively seek the best way to get formal structures in place with agreed SLAs
- Ensure best practice standards are built into service transition process
- Actively seek out opportunities for shift left and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with project teams and other key stakeholders and ensure conformity to ST processes and procedures
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and execute the smooth transition of new or changed services into live operations, ensuring minimal disruption and full alignment with organisational standards.
- Strong understanding of controlled change processes, including assessing impacts, managing release cycles, coordinating deployment activities and ensuring readiness across technical and operational teams.
- Skilled in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks throughout the service lifecycle, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation and governance are in place to protect service stability.
- Ability to monitor, measure and report on service performance, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and operational targets are met, and driving improvements where gaps or inefficiencies are identified.
- Experience supporting or overseeing the effective handling of incidents, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication and root‑cause awareness.
- Ability to support structured problem investigations, identify underlying causes and drive long‑term corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Working knowledge of Prince2 principles, enabling structured project delivery and effective collaboration with project teams.
- Experience working within Agile environments, adapting to iterative delivery models and supporting transitions aligned to sprint or release cycles.

Up to £65,000 depending on experience plus bonus
