Job Title: Corporate Actions & Asset Services Analyst
Location:
Manchester (with initial training in Liverpool)
Contract:
10-month FTC (potential extension & possible permanent opportunities)
Working Pattern:
4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Actions & Asset Services Analyst to join our expanding team. This role supports increased workflow volumes and provides essential coverage during the transition of operations to Manchester. You will work closely with our Wealth Services teams and wider Operations function, handling a range of technical processes across corporate actions, income, settlements, and reconciliations.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with prior financial services experience who can hit the ground running. Those with corporate actions or reconciliation expertise will have a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a variety of
corporate actions
including dividends, income events, mandatory and voluntary corporate actions. - Perform
reconciliations
related to asset servicing and settlements. - Support
settlements processes
and ensure accurate, timely completion of transactions. - Investigate discrepancies, resolve breaks, and escalate issues as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth end-to-end processing within SLA and compliance standards.
- Utilise
Excel
extensively for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting tasks. - Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including exploring the use of
AI tools
to streamline operations. - Maintain high standards of accuracy, control, and risk awareness throughout all tasks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Financial services experience is essential
—ideally within
asset servicing, corporate actions, operations, settlements, or similar functions. - Strong understanding of financial instruments, the stock market, shares, and general investment operations.
- Ability to work with operational processes without needing to be trained from scratch on basic industry concepts.
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(intermediate to advanced). - Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Corporate actions experience
(highly advantageous). - Reconciliations and settlements background.
- Experience using or implementing
AI-supported tools
for operational efficiency. - Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives.
Additional Information
- Initial training will take place in Liverpool
for a short period before transitioning to Manchester as the primary location. - Potential extensions
may be available as team transitions progress. - Opportunities for permanent roles
may arise as employees relocate or roles open up.
