About Us

At Optimo, we're passionate about creating the right digital and people environment for our teams to thrive. Our IT and People Services functions play a vital role in supporting leaders and frontline staff across the organisation, ensuring they have the tools, systems and technology they need to deliver outstanding care.

We're entering an exciting period of digital transformation, and the Group IT Manager will play a key role in shaping, strengthening and modernising our technology across multiple services. If you want to make a meaningful impact and help build a secure, reliable and future-focused IT environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Optimo Care Group is looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Group IT Manager to lead our IT operations, strengthen our digital infrastructure and guide us through an exciting cloud transformation programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety, enjoys taking ownership and wants to make a meaningful impact across a multi-site organisation with a clear social purpose.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will lead and manage our Group-wide IT ecosystem, ensuring our systems run smoothly, securely and efficiently. You'll oversee our day-to-day IT operations, support colleagues across multiple services, manage outsourced providers and maintain the reliability of our core systems.

A key part of the role will be leading our transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, ensuring a smooth migration, strong user adoption and secure cloud architecture.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage IT services, infrastructure, networks and cloud environments
  • Maintain cyber security controls, user access, MFA and compliance
  • Lead the Group's Microsoft 365 migration
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management and device provisioning
  • Manage outsourced IT support contracts and SLAs
  • Provide training and guidance in clear, accessible language

What you'll bring

  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills (SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Experience managing multi-site IT operations
  • Cloud migration experience (Google Workspace → M365 desirable)
  • Azure AD / Entra ID, cyber security and device management skills
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Why join us?

You'll play a central role in helping us modernise our digital environment and support frontline care teams across the country. We're collaborative, forward-thinking and values-driven — and you'll have space to shape, improve and influence how IT supports the wider organisation.
