Supervising Social Worker / Hybrid working / Poole / Fostering

We're looking for a passionate Supervising Social Worker to join our growing team in Poole and we want someone who is ready to play a key role in supporting our fantastic foster families.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You'll manage a quality-focused caseload of up to 10 households/14 children across Dorset. Your goal is to help our carers provide the best possible outcomes for the children in their care.
  • You'll be a key support for our carers, ensuring they're "Ofsted-ready" and confident in their role.
  • You'll also be involved in Form F assessments to help us bring new carers into our community. Prior assessment experience is a big plus, as we have a healthy recruitment pipeline.
  • Travel within Dorset is part of the job, with some drives of up to 90 minutes. We also attend recruitment and social events, which might occasionally fall on a weekend.

The Details

  • Salary: £40,000 + a performance-related payment after your probation period.
  • Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9 am - 5 pm).
  • Location: Home-based with an expectation to be in our Poole office 1-2 days per week for supervision and team meetings.
  • On-Call: A paid on-call rota (1:6 weeks) at £150 per week.
  • Time Off: 28 days of annual leave + 8 bank holidays. This increases to 32 days with length of service, and you get your birthday off, too
