We work across the commercial, high-end residential, education, and public sectors, offering mechanical design, installation, and commissioning services.

Following a recent change of ownership, the business is entering a significant phase of modernisation, investment, and process improvement. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Projects Team. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of plumbing systems within the hotel sector.

The Role:

You will be leading employed staff and our network of sub-contractors in the delivery of live HVAC projects - assisting with site coordination, procurement, health and safety documentation, and client communication. Running the full lifecycle of project delivery from initial enquiry, design, quotation, implementation, and handover.

This is a senior position within RPM, focusing on managing the plumbing division of the company.

As such, the successful candidate will be a highly competent project manager, able to work with minimal supervision, with their key focus on maintaining relationships with long standing customers and subcontractors.

What You Will Be Doing:

Contracts Management

  • Oversee and manage multiple mechanical projects across plumbing and heating systems. Reporting to directors.
  • Majority of live projects in central London, required on site.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Review technical specifications and ensure installations meet regulatory and client standards.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and resolve any on-site issues.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials and services are delivered efficiently.

What We are Looking For:

Essential:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of mechanical experience within building services.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in plumbing and heating systems.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • Experience with Joblogic and Procore.
