SQL, SharePoint & Web Infrastructure Engineer (6-Month FTC)

VIQU are partnering with a global law firm to recruit an
Engineer
on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale
SQL, SharePoint, web, and Azure
environments, providing critical third-line support and contributing to global IT infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities of the SQL, SharePoint & Web Infrastructure Engineer


• Maintain and optimise
SQL Server, SharePoint, web farms, and Azure Cloud Services.


• Deliver third-line support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for critical systems.


• Manage global server estate, ensuring uptime, load balancing, and disaster recovery.


• Support code releases, system upgrades, and migrations to Azure PaaS and related services.


• Collaborate with global teams and vendors to enhance system security, performance, and resilience.


• Identify opportunities for improvement, document processes, and contribute to automation initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience of the SQL, SharePoint & Web Infrastructure Engineer

Essential:


• Administration and support of
Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, web infrastructure, and SSO/Identity Management.


• Strong understanding of SQL high availability and disaster recovery (Always-On, Mirroring, Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping).


• Experience with
web farm environments and load balancing.


• Hands-on management of Azure Cloud Services and Azure Active Directory.


• Experience delivering third-line support, code deployments, and system upgrades.


• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative approach.

Desirable:


• Azure migrations and Azure PaaS services (App Service Plan, Function Service, Kubernetes).


• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.


• Experience in professional services or legal/financial sectors.
