Operations Manager – Fire & Security
Location: Cardiff (Office-based)
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 extra day per year of service.
About the Company
We are an established and expanding fire and security company based in cardiff but operate over the whole of the UK.
Due to continued growth and new contract wins, we are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our teams and help drive the next stage of our success.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, managing our small works, projects, service, and admin teams.
You'll play a key part in coordinating engineers for our installation works, overseeing the service manager, hiring new engineers and ensuring our clients receive an excellent service.
This role is part of the senior management team, working closely with the Directors.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the service manager / coordinator.
- organise, coordinate the installations / project work including creating job documents, ordering kit and making sure the engineers are efficient.
- creating installation packs, wiring schematics OEMs and handover documents for clients
- Lead and develop office admin and scheduling staff
- Liaise with senior management on performance and planning
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager or install Delivery Manager in the fire and security sector
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organised, commercially aware, and proactive
