Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic setting while delivering exceptional service to our patrons.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and beverages accurately and efficiently to customers
- Take orders and provide menu recommendations with friendly professionalism
- Ensure all drinks are prepared in accordance with food safety standards and company policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Monitor customer behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of each shift
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and valued
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible serving practices is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
