Join Proton and build a better internet where privacy is the default
At Proton, we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of democracy. Since our inception in 2014, founded by a team of scientists from CERN, we have dedicated ourselves to providing free and open-source technology to millions worldwide, ensuring access to privacy, security, and freedom online.
Our journey began with Proton Mail, the largest secure email service globally, and has since expanded to include Proton VPN, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton Pass. These tools empower individuals and organizations to take control of their personal data, break away from Big Tech's invasive practices, and defeat censorship. Our work impacts hundreds of millions of lives, from activists on the front lines defending freedom to leaders in governments protecting sensitive information. In some cases, Proton's services have even been instrumental in saving lives by enabling secure and private communications in high-risk situations.
Proton today supports over 100 million user accounts with a growing team of over 500 people from over 50 different countries, from the world's top companies and universities. We value intelligence, learning potential, and ambition in our hiring process. Adaptability is key as we navigate uncharted territories and redefine how business is conducted online. We believe smaller teams of exceptional talent will always prevail over larger teams with lower talent density. Proton has become profitable and reached scale without relying upon VC funding, largely due to superior talent that allows us to do things faster, more creatively, and more efficiently.
We have a global mindset and big ambitions but remain a start-up at heart. We value empowerment and flexibility and keep our structure flat to keep moving fast and avoid unnecessary politics. Tired of blending into the crowd? Join us and do work you can truly be proud of. Check our

The Role
We are looking for a B2B content manager to develop and execute content strategies that support the growth of our community of professionals and organizations. You will work closely with the B2B marketing lead, your colleagues on the Content Team, and other stakeholders to help entrepreneurs, small businesses, and mid-size organizations discover and understand the value of Proton's business products.
This role is ideal for a hands-on content writer and editor with a record of creating engaging content that achieves specific business goals. You'll craft messaging that speaks directly to privacy-conscious professionals and business decision-makers, help us test new formats and distribution channels, and ensure all B2B content aligns with Proton's mission and tone.
What You Will Do
- Own the B2B content pipeline in support of demand generation, lead nurturing, and customer retention.
- Write and edit a range of content types, including landing pages, email campaigns, blog posts, white papers, case studies, and sales enablement materials.
- Create compelling messaging and storytelling for prosumers, entrepreneurs, and SMB audiences.
- Collaborate with the B2B marketing lead and growth leads on campaign planning, go-to-market initiatives, and content performance measurement.
- Source, onboard, and manage freelance writers, while also overseeing the B2B production of in-house staffers.
- Collaborate with product marketing, sales, design, and SEO stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Establish content guidelines and editorial processes for the B2B content stream.
- Track performance metrics and continuously improve content based on insights.
- Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with Proton's brand and tone.
What We Need From You
- 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or editorial roles in a B2B or SaaS environment
- A portfolio that showcases your ability to create clear, impactful content for technical or professional audiences
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, structure, and clarity
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute in order to meet targets
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities
- Comfort in working independently and quickly on multiple workstreams in an evolving environment
- A user-first mindset and passion for privacy-focused technology
Nice To Haves
- Experience with B2B SEO and performance tracking tools
- Familiarity with MSPs, resellers, or channel marketing
- Experience in industries relevant to our ideal customer profiles
Even if you don't meet all the requirements listed above, but feel you could still be a great fit, please still apply.
