About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Business Management to lead the Business Management function within our CIO Office. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving profitability, strategic alignment, and operational excellence across all products and activities. You will oversee critical areas including budgeting, product design, sales strategy, client relationships, operations, marketing, analytics, and third-party partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the CIO to shape and execute business strategy, including product design, profitability, marketing, and platform development.
- Lead all Business Management sub-functions: Client Relationships, Product & Operations, Sales, Analytics, Marketing, and Third-Party Relationships.
- Develop and maintain planning, management information (MI), and reporting frameworks.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure exceptional delivery of internal and external client relationship management.
- Enhance performance analytics and reporting across the CIO Office.
- Formulate key business outcomes for budgetary planning and profitability tracking.
- Line-manage leads across all Business Management sub-functions.
- Develop and refine sales strategy aligned with client-led product feedback.
- Ensure excellence in client, management, and governance reporting.
- Actively participate in control committees, including the Product and Services Committee.
- Manage third-party relationships, including contract negotiations and delivery oversight.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and/or financial networks, with a strong understanding of their operating models and relationship dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and drive sales performance, including setting strategic targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing initiatives that deliver measurable growth.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, capable of translating business objectives into actionable plans that deliver results.
- Experience in business planning and performance management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Track record of delivering operational excellence, ensuring processes, governance, and reporting frameworks are robust and aligned to business priorities.
