Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute
Business Director
to lead the execution of our value creation plan and ensure operational excellence across the organisation. This high-impact leadership role combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery and requires a proven operator who can scale systems, transform services, and drive measurable business outcomes.
The Operations Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving margins, and embedding a high-performance culture across key operational areas, including Business Services Administration (BSA), Site Safety, and frontline Operations. This role is critical to ensuring that both our business-as-usual and transformation goals are met in full and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Value Creation Delivery: Lead the successful execution of the company's value creation plan across operational and sales domains, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market opportunities.
- Commercial Ownership: Take full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, cost control, and margin enhancement. Monitor early performance indicators and implement corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to Heads of BSA, Site Safety, and wider Operations. Champion a collaborative, data-driven leadership style.
- Transformation & Innovation: Drive the evolution of operational processes, systems, and service delivery models to improve scalability, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Planning & Growth Enablement: Define and implement advanced planning frameworks and robust management systems to support sustainable growth and future readiness.
- Workforce Planning & Resourcing: Lead workforce planning and resource strategy development through the Operations Director, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and client demands.
- AI & Automation: Direct ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, with a particular focus on leveraging AI, automation, and digital tools to streamline operational workflows.
- Performance Culture: Build and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance across all levels of the operational teams.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with executive leaders across Sales, Finance, Technology, and Delivery to ensure strategic cohesion and integrated service offerings.
- Market Awareness: Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to position the organisation as an operational leader in its field.
About You
- Proven track record of delivering operational excellence at a senior level within a complex, multi-service organisation, preferably PE backed.
- Demonstrable experience leading business transformation, driving margin improvement, and full P&L management and performance.
- Expertise in developing scalable operational strategies, planning frameworks, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Strong background in workforce planning, change management, and performance optimisation.
- Comfortable leading through complexity and ambiguity while delivering structured, measurable results.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
