My client, a global law firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join their London Finance team. This role requires daily communication in French with their thriving Paris office and close collaboration with attorneys, clients, and finance colleagues across Europe and the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full billing cycle for assigned practice groups and partners.
  • Prepare, edit, and finalize client invoices in accordance with firm and client guidelines.
  • Liaise daily with the Paris office in French to coordinate billing matters, resolve queries, and ensure timely processing.
  • Monitor WIP and aged debt, and assist with collections as needed.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with VAT and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects and reporting.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in legal billing or professional services billing (2+ years preferred).
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of billing systems (e.g., Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-service mindset.
  • Familiarity with VAT and international billing practices is a plus.
