We are a Manufacturing company based in Pott Shirgley - Macclesfield.
As we continue to expand, we're seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to help us forge new partnerships and strengthen our presence in the retail and trade sectors.
Job Description -
We're looking for a Business Development Manager with preffered experience in the builders' merchant or garden centre sector to join our expanding team. You'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities, driving sales growth through strategic partnerships with retailers and trade customers.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves meeting people, building relationships, and driving tangible results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on expanding our retail and trade partnerships.
- Identify and approach new business opportunities within builders' merchants, garden centres, and related retail channels.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and promotional activities to maximise sales.
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, product) to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
- Report on market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
About You
- Strong network of industry contacts (preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding targets.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own territory.
- Full UK driving licence.
