About the Role

The Partnerships & Business Development Director at W. ICONS is responsible for leading and growing all commercial revenue streams across the W. ICONS business. This includes tenancy placements, the marketplace, ICONS Exclusives, events, affiliate partnerships, display advertising, and commercial aspects of the W. ICONS Club membership. The role identifies, secures, and delivers high-value partnerships that support revenue growth and align with the brand's values. The role is part of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

Lead and grow all commercial income across digital, social, editorial, membership, and event channels.

Develop the annual commercial strategy and revenue forecast.

Monitor and optimise all revenue streams, including tenancy, placements, affiliate sales, and commercial events.

Maintain media decks, rate cards, pitch materials, and case studies.

Contribute to senior leadership discussions on business planning and growth opportunities.

Provide commercial insights to support content planning and brand positioning.

Brand Partnerships & Business Development

Identify and secure high-value, multi-channel partnerships across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and travel.

Manage the full partnership lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, forecasting, negotiating, closing, contracting, and delivery.

Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across brands, PR, agencies, and marketing teams.

Ensure all commercial activity aligns with editorial standards and audience expectations.

Manage affiliate relationships with Awin, Partnerize, Rakuten, Skimlinks, and Linkby.

Optimise affiliate rates, negotiate CPA increases, and monitor partner performance.

Membership (W. ICONS Club)

With the Membership Manager, secure brand discounts and exclusive member offers.

Support member-only event sourcing, pitching, and negotiation.

Provide commercial input into membership programme development.

Events

With the Membership Manager, develop, pitch, and deliver commercial events. Overseeing event partnerships, venues, hospitality providers, and sponsors.

Oversee budgets, RSVPs, editorial positioning, deliverables, and reporting

Market & Industry Insight

Analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and market changes.

Maintain strong understanding of the luxury, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle sectors.

Represent W. ICONS at press days and industry events.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.

Excellent negotiation skills and experience closing complex partnerships.

Ability to work effectively with editorial, design, and production teams.

Confident interpreting analytics to inform decisions and optimise performance.

Highly organised with strong project and time-management skills, able to manage multiple partnerships and events simultaneously.
