Join us at Hathaway Medical Centre, where we are seeking a motivated, detail-driven Operations and Facilities Coordinator ready to bring energy, commitment and adaptability to a fast-paced environment focused on outstanding patient care.

Job Purpose

To support safe, compliant and effective operation of the practice through facilities coordination, health & safety support and operational assistance.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate building issues, contractors and maintenance.
  • Support operational teams with practical daily problem-solving.
  • Maintain logs, inventories, compliance evidence and facilities records.
  • Assist with small projects, refurbishments and equipment coordination.
  • Responsible for H&S documentation, risk assessments and statutory checks.
  • Be responsible for Managers/Site phone every 8 weeks
  • Work with all teams and offer support and cover when needed

Essential skills required:

  • Experience in admin, operations or facilities role.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety standards
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in NHS or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of CQC premises standards or estates processes.
  • IOSH Working Safely or willingness to complete training.
  • Experience working with Medical systems suchs as SystmOne or similar
  • Previously working in a GP surgery or medical centre.
  • Advanced IT skills

This role will involve a high degree of confidentiality, good communication skills and excellent customer service. You will need to be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and using your own initiative.

This is a permanent position, we are looking for applicants with availability to work across 5 days per week, with flexibility in shifts ranging between the hours of 07.30am -18:30pm. Monday to Friday. Mondays and/or Fridays are a requirement. Occasional Saturdays will be required.

The hours are 37 hours per week. However, as this is a new role, we may need to review these hours after the probationary period.
