We are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated individual to the post of Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner within Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the therapy team within a CQC rated 'outstanding' NHS specialist Trust. The post holder will be based within the Liverpool Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team (The Breathe Programme). The successful post-holder will assist the team to deliver the pulmonary rehabilitation service to patients within hospital and community settings including community venues and patients own homes. You are expected to use your own car within the community, business insurance is required, you will be paid travel expenses for your mileage.
You will contribute to the assessment and treatment of patients both individually and in groups, undertaking therapeutic work and supervising patients in activity relating to their treatment and will assist with integrating patients into digital resources as part of their educational rehabilitation therefore IT skills are essential.
Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in delivering excellent patient-centred care.
The role is ideally suited to an individual with experience of working in a health or care setting with respiratory experience. The post holder will be working closely with experienced clinicians, however the ability to make clinical decisions is required at this level, so a good understanding of patient centred care and problem-solving skills are essential. Through recent investment, therapy services are growing our workforce and working in new and innovative ways to ensure we are providing the highest standard of evidence-based care.
We are a fun and welcoming team holding monthly cake days, regular social events and trust driven wellbeing initiatives which will help you to settle into the team quickly and build working relationships.
