Are you currently working within care and would like to develop your skills and move towards complex care?

We have an exciting vacancy within the St Helens and Rainford area for a Rehab Assistant to join our team and develop their care skills, working alongside our Branch Nurses and Care Staff with opportunity to progress. In addition, this individual would have the opportunity to develop skills in areas of low-level clinical skills with further scope to train within more complex care.

This young man sustained a traumatic brain injury (aged 12 years) after he was struck by a vehicle. That was 10 years ago. Our client presents with significant cognitive problems and frontal lobe disabilities. Leading to difficulty in planning and concentration. Along with inattention to the left side of his body. He is able to walk unaided, but does struggle with mobility issues due to the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Our client is trialing independant living to grasp what level of support he will require moving forward with his indepence, he will spend Two days/nights a week, where he will have support at all time.

He is very active and social and loves doing things like Shopping, Fishing, Going out for coffee, Rugby League, Watching concerts on TV, Comedy, Films and TV along with spending time with his girlfriend

We're looking for:
Paid previous experience as a care assistant is essential
Excellent communication skills
A driver's licence & your own car is essential
Good professional and personal references

Six months' paid experience in care such as a care assistant, domiciliary carer, support worker, personal healthcare assistant, care worker or similar advantage but not essential

In line with CQC & Care Inspectorate regulations, we require and will undertake Enhanced DBS/PVG, Right to Work, Reference and Employment History checks in line with Government guidelines for this role and safer recruitment best practice.
