Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to lead our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in assisted living and home care, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage our team effectively. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care plans tailored to meet the needs of our residents, including those with dementia. The Care Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for both staff and residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations of the care facility, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they are tailored to meet their specific needs.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on best practices in senior care and dementia care.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development among staff members.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and satisfaction, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care management or a similar role within assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in dementia care.
- Relevant qualifications in health or social care management are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
