Role Purpose:

The Deputy Chief Sales Officer will support the Chief of Sales in developing and executing the company's sales strategy, with a specific focus on operational delivery, team performance, and market execution.

This role will play a critical part in driving revenue growth, supporting strategic initiatives, and overseeing day-to-day sales operations within the buy-to-let and bridging loans markets. The DCSO will help manage the broker and introducer network, provide leadership to regional sales teams, and ensure consistent delivery against sales targets and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chief of Sales in executing and refining the sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage and oversee regional sales activity, ensuring performance is aligned with targets and expectations.
  • Lead broker/introducer engagement across key regions, maintaining strong panel relationships and market visibility.
  • Drive performance across sales teams through structured coaching, development, and regular feedback sessions.
  • Supporting the team in achieving their collective targets.
  • Monitor and interpret MI and KPI data to improve sales outcomes and inform tactical decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and credit to deliver a unified approach to market.
  • Represent the business at key events and industry functions, supporting the Chief of Sales as a senior brand ambassador.

Role Requirements:

  • 5–8 years' experience in specialist property lending, particularly in the broker/intermediary channel.
  • Proven experience managing high-performing sales teams within a lending environment.
  • Strong understanding of bridging loans and buy-to-let finance products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; capable of motivating teams and managing change.
  • Solid grasp of credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory considerations in the lending space.
  • Confident in analysing business MI and turning insights into action.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the business and present to senior leadership.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a service-led approach to broker relationships.
  • Target-driven, energetic, and commercially minded.
  • Track record of delivering results against ambitious sales and lending targets.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Existing network of broker and intermediary relationships.
  • Previous experience stepping up into a strategic or cross-functional leadership role.
  • Involvement in launching new financial products or initiatives.
