Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working in a family with two disabled adults both wheelchair users . They have two older children one with Autism. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive a large vehicle daily .

This is not a sponsorship position. English must be your first language due to communication needs of clients and a female is preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication management.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients in both home and care home settings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
  • Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes as necessary.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.
  • All bathing and personal care required
  • Bowel Care experience required training can be given
  • Daily meal preparation required everyday day cooking from fresh essential for all the family
  • Weekly shopping assistance required
  • Daily washing and household tasks required
  • Moving and handling experience with hoists essential
  • Experience of working with children essential
  • A proven track record In Care essential
  • A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients daily .
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong IT skills to manage documentation and use relevant software applications effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families, ensuring a supportive environment.
