Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be crucial in delivering high-quality care. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to drive to various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions or behaviours to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and activities as required.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is required.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
  • Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting patients or travelling between locations but not essential.
  • A caring nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
