There is now an exciting opportunity for Front of House staff to join the award winning, dynamic team at The Lion.

Our 4 star hotel and restaurant in the World Heritage town of Blaenavon is looking for someone who are enthusiastic with a great personality. Someone who enjoys interaction with staff and customers. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to work under pressure to organise and assist the team at any time.

You will be committed and excited to learn new skills and techniques to advance your career. You will have the determination and the passion to improve and help us to retain our already high standards.

Job Role

As Front of House you will be reporting to the Managing Director/Assistant Manager

  • You will need to be an excellent team worker who is happy to collaborate with the team and manager on exciting new ideas
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Your job will be to assist the team during service, bar work and general housekeeping duties
  • Flexible on shifts as needed
  • Comfortable working alone and mature enough to open and close the premises if needed
  • Trustworthy and dynamic enough to work alone

Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate will come with bar or restaurant experience.
  • You will be able to communicate at all levels and commit to learning and progressing your knowledge and skills
  • Most importantly, we are looking for someone that loves to work as a team and thrives in a fast paced, professional and friendly environment.
  • Ideally the candidate will be local or be able to drive.
  • 18+

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
