Salary:
£27,000 pro rata (£13,500 per annum, 0.5 FTE)

Hours:
18.75 hours per week (flexible, including some evenings and weekends)

Contract:
21-month fixed term (with potential for extension)

Location:
Suffolk / East Anglia (hybrid working)

The East Anglian Traditional Music Trust is seeking a
Project Coordinator
to help deliver
Celebrating 25 Years of Traditional Music in East Anglia
, a major project supported by the
National Lottery Heritage Fund
, as we mark our 25th anniversary and plan for the future.

About Us

EATMT is a registered charity based in Suffolk, working to sustain, celebrate, and share the traditional music heritage of East Anglia. We support people of all ages to discover, participate in, and pass on folk music, song, and dance traditions, ensuring they remain relevant and accessible for future generations.

About the Role

Working closely with the Project Director, the Project Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of heritage events, learning activities, and community engagement across the East Anglia region. The role involves coordinating events, supporting volunteers, contributing to marketing and communications, and helping to ensure strong outcomes for heritage, people, and communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a well-established organisation entering a new phase of development, with strong funding, partnerships, and ambition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate heritage events, workshops, and activities, including booking venues and artists
  • Support delivery of Traditional Music Day and other public events
  • Assist with marketing and communications, particularly digital and social media
  • Recruit, support, and work alongside volunteers
  • Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Support fundraising activity, earned income development, and improved access to archives
  • Represent the Trust positively at events and meetings

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience coordinating arts, music, heritage, or community projects
  • Is organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple activities
  • Has strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Is committed to inclusivity, safeguarding, and community engagement
  • Has an interest in traditional music, cultural heritage, or participatory arts

Experience of working with funders, volunteers, schools, or community groups is desirable but not essential.
