ichiban UK is a privately owned sushi manufacturer producing own label and branded sushi for the UK market .

We are looking for a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer (with mechanical and electrical knowledge/experience) at our site in Earl Stonham, near Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. Working a 2 week rotating shift pattern of 3 off/2 on/2 off and 3 on/2 off/ 2 on (12 hour shifts). With 23 days annual leave per holiday year.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, dedicated engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator. The successful applicant will carry out the following:-

  • Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance within the production areas
  • Maintain all electrical plant and equipment on site
  • Fault finding and other diagnostics
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Work on projects to improve, modify, upgrade and rewire machinery
  • Prioritise workloads and demands
  • Effectively handover the shift to colleagues
  • Good housekeeping in accordance with food manufacturing standards
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety practices

Candidates will ideally be/hold the following:

  • Multiskilled with an electrical bias
  • Industry recognized electrical qualification
  • NVQ level 3 and above
  • Desirable 18th edition electrical
  • Desirable Testing and inspection

Night Shift allowance would also apply on top of the base salary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £46,000.00 per year
