Job Description

Organon is hiring a Capital Projects Finance Controller to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

In this key role, you'll provide financial oversight and governance for both minor and major capital projects. Your responsibilities will include setting up projects in SAP, managing purchase orders, processing invoices, and delivering accurate reporting.

Organon Cramlington is driving an ambitious portfolio of capital investments, and this position is essential to ensuring robust financial control throughout. This is primarily an office-based role with flexible working hours and the option for some remote working.

This is a 15-month fixed-term contract/ CPA, primarily office-based with flexible working hours and the option for some remote working.

Responsibilities

· Raise purchase requisitions in SAP and track approval status.

· Invoice queries and miss match resolution.

· Initiate workflows in SAP for new projects (appropriation requests).

· Initiate workflows in SAP for revised total project costs (contract breaks).

· Run and provide project spending reports to Project Managers.

· Own and manage asset creation process for project-related new assets, asset disposals and project close out.

· Provide monthly capital spending versus forecast reports to the engineering lead team.

Required Education, Experience and Skills 

· Familiarity with basic purchasing processes, including purchase orders and invoicing.

· Experience of working with ERP systems - SAP would be beneficial but not essential as training on company specific systems will be provided.

· Experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

· Experience of MS Office applications, demonstrating intermediate MS Excel skills (including pivot tables and macros).

· Familiarity with basic capital accounting processes would be preferred but is not essential.

· Positive and driven mindset.

· Aptitude for learning and dealing with numbers.

· Structured, rigorous, and disciplined approach to work is essential.

· Ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and multiple stakeholders.

· Excellent communication skills both vertically and horizontally within the organisation.
