GoodBeams is the UK's first premium medical cannabis dispensary, opening our flagship location in London in January 2026. We're creating a new standard of patient-centred pharmaceutical care - combining clinical excellence with exceptional patient experience while maintaining the highest medical and regulatory standards.

This is a pioneering first-mover opportunity in an emerging category, building "Your Lifestyle Pharmacy" for medical cannabis patients.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a special kind of Superintendent Pharmacist - one who buys into the GoodBeams vision and, like our founding team, envisages a world in which the benefits of cannabis can be utilised by the wider population.

This is a founding leadership role for an ambitious pharmacist ready to shape the future of medical cannabis in the UK. As Superintendent Pharmacist, you'll be cited on our Controlled Drug Licence application and lead all professional, clinical, and operational aspects of the UK's first physical medical cannabis pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Compliance

• Serve as Superintendent Pharmacist on our CD Licence application
• Refine and optimize SOPs for all pharmacy operations, especially controlled drug handling
• Maintain quality management systems and audit-readiness
• Serve as primary regulatory liaison with GPhC and MHRA

Clinical Excellence

• Provide expert clinical support including medication reviews and consultations
• Develop deep expertise in medical cannabis products and therapeutic applications
• Lead patient education and evidence-based clinical protocols
• Implement patient outcomes monitoring systems

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily dispensary operations, stock management, and supply chain
• Recruit, train, and mentor the pharmacy team
• Optimize processes while maintaining premium service experience
• Implement pharmacy management systems and technology

Business Development

• Contribute strategic insights as founding team member
• Build relationships with prescribers in the medical cannabis ecosystem
• Develop new clinical services enhancing patient outcomes
• Represent GoodBeams in industry forums and thought leadership

Essential Requirements

Qualifications

• Current GPhC registration in good standing
• Qualified Pharmacist Independent Prescriber
• Previous Superintendent experience or demonstrable readiness
• Clean regulatory record

Experience & Skills

• 3-5+ years post-qualification with demonstrated leadership
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient consultation skills
• Thorough understanding of pharmacy law and controlled drugs regulations
• Experience implementing SOPs and quality systems
• Proven team management capabilities
• Technology proficiency with pharmacy software and Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence

Compensation

• Base: £60,000-£70,000 (dependent on experience)
• Annual performance reviews
