Pharmacy ManagerReports to: Superintendent Pharmacist Location: North London DCShift pattern: 5 days per week 8.5 hours per day with 30 mins unpaid lunch scheduled either Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pmAbout the role: Were looking for a dedicated and proactive Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations at our brand-new Distribution Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join from day one helping to shape a new site and team while ensuring the seamless delivery of pharmacy services from the ground up.Youll be responsible for overseeing daily operations driving key performance metrics and ensuring full compliance with GPhC and UK regulatory standards. Working closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and wider leadership team youll manage dispensing inventory control and overall team performance - including the line management development and support of pharmacists and dispensary staff - all while maintaining the highest standards of safety accuracy and patient care.About Healthxchange: Founded in 2000 Healthxchange is the leading supplier of medical aesthetic products and services to professionals across the UK & Ireland. The company offers a dynamic environment for innovation and growth in the medical aesthetic space.Responsibilities: Own and report pharmacy KPIs daily to Superintendent Pharmacist; including but not limited to: Orders Completed Orders not Completed Issue Log Returns ProductivityEnsure compliance with relevant UK pharmacy regulations set forth by UK Regulatory bodies (GPhC)Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations including dispensing prescriptions inventory management quality control procedures health & safety and productivity managementProvide training guidance and support to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Supervision of pharmacists including providing leadership guidance and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure compliance with professional ethical and operational standards.Support the recruitment onboarding and training of new pharmacy staff to ensure a smooth integration.Accountable for pharmacy security including responding in person to emergency call-outs outside normal hours and key holding responsibilities following probationResponsible for pharmacy operations inventory control to minimise both discrepancies and loss preventionCollaborate with Superintendent Pharmacist Operations Director and Head of Quality/Responsible Person to ensure all regulatory risks within the pharmacy environment are identified managed and removedMaintain accurate records of pharmacy transactions prescriptions and regulatory documentationEnsure confidentiality and security of patient informationSupport contingency plans for disaster recovery to ensure continuity of serviceResponsible for the daily productivity of sales orders migrating through pharmacy and Distribution Centre ensuring customer service expectation levels are maintained continuouslyOversee staff resourcing to ensure appropriate coverage during annual leave and absenceRequirements: Essential:Bachelor of Pharmacy or MPharm degreeRegistered UK Pharmacist with valid license to operateIn-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations (GPhC)Previous experience working in a GDP-compliant environment ensuring medicines are stored handled and distributed in accordance with MHRA and EU GDP guidelines.Proven leadership experience including line management of pharmacists and dispensary teamsStrong leadership communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detail with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office software packagesStrong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skillsDemonstrate leadership capabilities including the ability to mentor inspire and motivate team membersFlexible to commute across all Healthxchange facilitiesFlexible to work across the 7am-7pm shiftBenefitsCompany pension annual performance bonus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (and increasing with service) staff discount staff social events access to Health Assured EAP.Healthxchange is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
